FC United’s academy team retained the Greater Manchester County Schools FA Under 18s Cup on Wednesday evening with a hard fought 2-0 win against Aquinas College (Stockport) at Brookburn Road, home of West Didsbury and Chorlton FC.

The Young Reds goalscorers were CAMERON HORNER (9 minutes) who won the ball fair and square in a 50:50 tackle with Caine Merrick in the Aquinas goal before rolling it into the empty net and FRANCESCO FRANGILLO (69 minutes) who took full advantage of a slip-up by the Aquinas ’keeper, who could only half-parry a goalbound Keenan Tuck effort.
