This match, played on the outer grass pitch at Broadhurst Park featured a side of new recruits getting their first experience of playing for FC United of Manchester.
It was a harsh lesson as the Lancashire Amateur League Premier Division side took full advantage of superior age and strength.

"On behalf of myself and Mostonians thanks for sorting out the game for us yesterday everyone at the club appreciated it and enjoyed the game. You have some good young players there and sure they will do good this season.
