Invitation for Board Observers for Wednesday 29th March Board Meeting

FC United Members are invited to put their names forward to act as one of the three observers at the 29th March Board Meeting by contacting the office by 12 noon on Monday 27th March.

The next FC United of Manchester Board meeting will take place on Wednesday 29th March 2017 at Broadhurst Park. Please note this is a slight change to the usual Monday meeting because of the game against Curzon Ashton.

If any member wishes to attend as a board observer, please e-mail viv.ware@fc-utd.net or call the office on 0161 769 2005 by 12 noon on Monday 27 March .

In the event of more than three members registering their interest, a ballot will be held in the presence of at least two members of club staff and/or board members on Monday 27th March.

It is expected that some discussions taking place at the meeting will require confidentiality. In those circumstances, the same principle that applies to publication of confidential matters within minutes will apply to the attendance of member observers. Where this is the case, observers will be asked to leave the meeting.

Observers will be able to write notes during the meeting which can be submitted to the Board Convener on the evening.

Observers will also have the opportunity to feedback separately to the board. It is of vital importance that observers do not disclose matters discussed in meetings until the publication of relevant minutes.

The board observers present at meetings shall be recorded as attendees within minutes. In keeping with the resolution, they are not permitted to vote at meetings or speak, unless invited to do so by the Board convenor on a point of clarification.

An agenda of the meeting will be issued and placed on the Members Forum.

Also any members who wish to help out at the Members meeting on the 30th March signing people in and handing out voting slips, and helping out with the count which we hope will take place on Friday 11am please e-mail viv.ware@fc-utd.net
