On Thursday 4th May ko 7.45pm, FC United face Stalybridge Celtic in the Final of the The Frank Hannah Manchester Cup to be held on at Oldham Athletic’s ground, Boundary Park, Furtherwood Road, Oldham OL1 2PA.

This will be FC United’s first Cup Final since 2008 when FC United won the The UniBond League President’s Cup against Radcliffe Borough at the Tameside Stadium. It will also be FC United’s first visit to Boundary Park since we last played there three times in March and April 2006 against Oldham Town, Chadderton and Padiham (who all had to switch grounds to accommodate the large travelling FC army)

This season Manager Karl Marginson has fielded strong sides in all rounds of the Manchester Premier Cup. In the three matches played, FC have scored 16 and conceded just 2. The competition has also seen 4 FC United hat-tricks from Thomson, Greaves, Gilchrist and Wolfenden.

If selected on Thursday Jerome Wright will make his 400th appearance for the Club.

Our opponents Stalybrdge Celtic, who have been relegated from the National League North this season, beat Droylsden, Curzon Ashton and Salford City on their way to the Final.
