Congratulations to FC United of Manchester U18’s who recorded their biggest ever competitive victory with a fine 5-1 win over Prescot Cables.
A tough first half interrupted by the occasional hailstorm saw the U18’s 1-0 down at half time, an inspired half time team talk saw FC throw caution to the wind as manager Chris Simms sent his team out for the second half with three strikers.
Unaffected by the arctic weather FC United’s U18 second half performance blew the opposition away. With goals coming from Vidal Mike, Mark Hendstock, Michael Sullivan and a brace from Lee Ellis.
Described as a "fantastic performance" by Simm who was also impressed by his sides "character".
