A 63rd minute goal from BEN FLETCHER was enough to give FC United of Manchester Youth a narrow 1-0 "away" victory against Rochdale AFC Youth in their latest National League u19 Alliance Division ’J’ fixture on Wednesday morning, the match having been switched from Hopwood Hall, Middleton to Broadhurst Park 3G.
Earlier on, Elliot Jorge Simoes Inacio was unlucky to see a 19th minute effort tipped over by the Rochdale ’keeper, whilst Sulaiman Sajjad had also been kept busy at the other end for the Young Reds.
The winning goal came midway through the second half when Jan Palinkas curled in a cross from the right for centre-half Ben Fletcher to head home from just inside the six yard box.
