AFC FYLDE MEN's 2nds 2 FC UNITED of MANCHESTER ACADEMY 'A' TEAM 4
FC United of Manchester’s Academy ’A’ team recorded a useful first ever 4-2 away win against AFC Fylde Men’s 2nds on the Mill Farm 3G on Wednesday afternoon in the AoC Sport North West Championship Invitation (East) league.
The Young Reds opened the scoring on 25 minutes when ABDUL MUKTADIR cleverly linked up with Kevin Zokou to fire in a right footed effort just inside the post.
Although AFC Fylde grabbed an equaliser on 21 minutes, the visitors regained the lead on 42 minutes when a GEORGE BARBOSA shot found the back of the home net from just outside the penalty area.
Three minutes into the second half, and ABDUL MUKTADIR extended FC United’s advantage with a shot that was deflected by a home defender.
AFC Fylde pulled one back on 61 minutes, but KEVIN ZOKOU made sure of the destination of the three points when he scored from a corner on 87 minutes to make the final score 4-2.
FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team are back in action with a home league fixture against The Football College, Bury FC, Men’s 1sts on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday 10th October 2018, KO 2 pm.
