FC UNITED of MANCHESTER ACADEMY 'B' TEAM 3 DRAGON FOOTBALL ACADEMY MEN's 5ths 4
FC United of Manchester Academy ’B’ team concluded their season 2018-2019 AoC Sport North West League Invitation (East) league programme with this 3-4 home defeat against Dragon Football Academy Men’s 5ths on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday afternoon.
The opening goal came after 15 minutes when the visitors’ KIRK BROOMHEAD fired a crisp low shot past Matt Crosby in the FC United goal.
On 24 minutes, it was 0-2, as MARCUS BELCHER headed home from a left side free kick.
A minute later, FC United pulled one back as Charlie Burke set up KANE STOCKLEY to score.
On the half hour mark, FC United then grabbed an equaliser, as MASON BEARD curled a rasping shot from the edge of the area into the top corner.
That made the score 2-2 at half-time.
On 58 minutes, Dragon Football Academy regained the lead from the penalty spot. Michael Olayinka was adjudged to have impeded an opposition player, and ZAK BRADSHAW made no mistake from the 12 yard mark.
Four minutes later, and the visitors extended their lead when LEO KEODRION was left free to turn and fire home from the edge of the penalty area.
The Young Reds pulled a goal back on 81 minutes, as Charlie Burke set up ZAID BAROUDI to blast one home from close range.
But the visitors held on for the remainder of the game to claim all three points on offer.
The result sees FC United of Manchester Academy ’B’ season finish the 2018-2019 season with three wins and a draw from their twelve league games.
