FC UNITED of MANCHESTER ACADEMY 'A' TEAM 6 CHADDY END OLD BOYS u17s 1
FC United of Manchester Academy ’A’ team recorded their first win of the 2020-21 pre-season campaign with this 6-1 home win against Chaddy End Old Boys u17s on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Tuesday morning.

The match was much closer than the final score would suggest until the Young Reds ran away with it in the closing stages, notching five of their six goals in the last 16 minutes of the game.

After a goalless first half which had seen team captain Mason Beard fail to convert a number of decent half chances, it was Chaddy End Old Boys u17s who opened the scoring on 52 minutes, JACK TOOLAN getting first to the ball to head past Drayke Holland in the FC United goal.

Less than 60 seconds later, FC United were back on level terms. Substitute Helio Alexandre firing in a low cross from the right which the unstinting MASON BEARD slammed home from close range.

On 74 minutes, it was 2-1 as AJ KANDEKE’s right wing shot / cross somehow eluded Josh Griffin in the visitors’ goal and ended up in the back of the net.

Two minutes later, it was 3-1 as SOUHAIL KIASSE finished another pinpoint Helio Alexandra right wing cross.

The floodgates had now well and truly opened as OSMAN AGERSO made it 4-1 on 86 minutes after fine work on the right by Taylor Evans.

And just two minutes later, the same player, OSMAN AGERSO, scored again, this time with a fierce shot which the visiting ’keeper couldn’t prevent spinning over the line.

SHERIFF KABBA rounded off the scoring with goal number six on the stroke of full time, with the match referee then immediately signalling the end of the morning’s proceedings.
