Pro Direct Academy (Manchester) gained a modicum of revenge after the two teams had met at Platt Lane, Fallowfield on Wednesday with this 4-2 friendly match win on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Friday morning .
The visitors opened the scoring on 5 minutes through KALEB PARKINSON to give the Pro Direct Academy XI a deserved 1-0 lead at the interval.
An unlikely looping equaliser by centre back CALLUM SMITH drew the Young Reds level on 56 minutes, before a resurgent home side edged in front through CHRISTIAN EDOKPAYI on 72 minutes.
That was about as good as it got for the home side, since less than three minutes later, the same player had conceded a somewhat unnecessary penalty kick on the edge of the area, which was gratefully blasted home by KALEB PARKINSON, sending substitute ’keeper Drayke Holland the wrong way from the 12 yard spot.
Man-of-the-match KALEB PARKINSON then curled home his hat-trick goal with 13 minutes remaining, before KAYDEN JONES made sure of the final result with a back post finish for the visitors’ fourth goal on 87 minutes.
