Garforth Information and Self Policing

Supporters may notice stricter controls and a higher police presence than usual at Garforth on Saturday. However all arrangements for the day have been put in place following full consultation with FC United and we recognise the need to have such measures in place for this fixture.

One such measure will be an alcohol banning order, which is in force for the whole area. This means that supporters will not be able to drink alcohol in the streets of Garforth. However this banning order does not apply once supporters are within the confines of the ground and therefore we urge supporters to go directly to the ground.

We would also like to thank Garforth for their efforts in trying to make the day as enjoyable as possible for us all.

The clubhouse will be open before the game from 11am and a marquee will be set up next to the ground. The clubhouse will be showing the Chelsea v Manchester United game. Unfortunately despite Garforth’s best efforts there will not be a big screen erected outside as previously reported.

There will be entertainment for the children, including beat the goalie and face painting.

At the end of the game the team will do a lap of honour to thank supporters for their fantastic support over the season. FC United are appealing to all supporters to respect the club, Garforth Town, the players and their fellow fans by keeping off the pitch.

The plans for celebrations could be disrupted and even curtailed if there is a pitch invasion and after the hard work put in by Karl and the team, it would be a shame if the moment of celebration is tainted.
