Street Box Strikers

The club is pleased to announce that it is teaming up with Guinness Northern Counties Housing Association and other partners to deliver football coaching sessions for youngsters over the summer in Bignor Street Park in Cheetham Hill.

Coaching will be delivered by Karl Marginson and David Chadwick who will be working alongside volunteers and staff from the Housing Association.

In order to publicise the programme of summer activities which is going under the title Street Box Strikers and will include boxing lessons and street dancing as well as football (these other activities will not be taught by David and Karl), the Guinness Northern Counties are organising a showcase event in the park this Sunday July 20th from 11am until 4pm.

The club will be supporting this event with players and volunteers organising penalty shoot-outs and other competitions for youngsters. There will also be boxing and street dancing demonstrations, face painting for younger children and many of the other normal acoutrements of a public outdoor event.

FC United fans are especially welcome. We are very pleased that Guinness Northern Counties have chosen us as their football partner in this event and we want to make sure that the Showcase is a success so that Guinness Northern Counties and others choose us as their football partner for future community programmes.
