End of season celebrations

No matter what the result on Saturday, it has been another enthralling season for everyone at FC United. Despite sensible expectations of mid-table security and consolidation, the players have gone on a remarkable end of season run to bring the club within touching distance of a fourth consecutive promotion.

At the end of the game, the team will do a lap of honour to thank supporters for their fantastic support over the season. We are appealing to all supporters to respect the club, Bury FC, the players and their fellow fans by keeping off the pitch during this time.

The plans for celebrations could be disrupted and even curtailed if there is a pitch invasion and after the hard work put in by Karl and the team, it would be a shame if the moment of celebration is tainted.

After the game we will be recreating the spirit of the end of our first season with a visit to the Swan & Cemetery pub on Manchester Road with all supporters invited. Karl and the players will be there although unfortunately there will be no open top bus on this occasion.

There is a mini "Double Vision"?? in the Swan & Cemetery and all the usual pubs local to Gigg Lane so if you want to watch MUFC on TV at 5.30 pm there is no need to leave the ground early and miss seeing the players off.
