Squad update

Last week we announced the squad for the forthcoming season and there are now a couple of updates.

As expected, former Youth team player Shaun Williams has signed up and he’s been joined by Raducio King who cut his teeth in our Manchester College Youth team. John Buckley is another of our youth graduates to join the first team squad, but he’ll start the season at Daisy Hill. It’s not exactly a loan, because it’s OK for players to be registered with more than one league, so we will keep John’s UniBond registration, while he gains a bit more experience with the North West Counties League club.

Manager Karl Marginson said: "It’s great to have a large squad, but players need regular football, so a few of our younger players might go out on similar ’loan’ deals. We’ll keep a close eye on them, so I can ease them back into our first team squad when they’re ready"??.
