Get your kit off for the lads

Some advance news of a special event which will be taking place in three weeks’ time.

So what's happening?

In summary, F.C. United are holding a 'KitAid' Amnesty Day at the F.C. United v Great Harwood Town F.C. game on Saturday 22nd April 2006 and the Club are looking for football supporters in the Greater Manchester area to donate unwanted kit, shirts or socks, which will then be handed over to 'KitAid', which is a small charity that sends kit to underprivileged children in developing countries.

What type of kit is wanted?

These old kits (shirts, shorts and socks) can be individual kits, perhaps they will be shorts and socks that don’t fit any more, or maybe they will be jerseys that have last season’s sponsorship logos on them.

Or alternatively they can be complete team kits, but it doesn’t matter if one or two have gone missing (they certainly don't have to be new kits!)

All that ‘KitAid’ ask is that the kits have been washed and are clean.

The Bhopal Medical Appeal (F.C. United’s main sponsor) is setting up a sports club for the benefit of youngsters from gas-affected families in Bhopal, and two sets of kits will be sent specifically for their use.

How can you help?

And how can you donate kit?

Kit can be donated in one of the two following ways:-

  1. Handing the kit in at the collection point(s) outside Gigg Lane before the Great Harwood Town game on Saturday 22nd April 2006.
  2. Or sending the kit by post to:- 'KitAid' (F.C. United), c/o Three Valleys Water plc, P.O. Box 48, Bishops Rise, Hatfield, Hertfordshire. AL10 9HL.

Thanking you all in advance for your help and support with this event.
