Trials for Manchester College Sports Academies

The Manchester College Sports Academies, which have been working in partnership with FC United, are holding trials for football, cricket, basketball and netball in June.

Students do not have to be already enrolled on a course at The Manchester College for the 2010/11 academic year in order to be involved.

The football partnership allows talented players the opportunity to progress through to the FC United U18 men’s team and, what we hope to become, the FC United women’s team. It also offers a pathway into open-age non-league football.

The dates of the football trials are as follows:

Men - Tuesday 1 June from 10am to 12 noon at Nicholls Community Football Centre of Excellence, M12 6BA and Thursday 3 June from 10am to 12 noon at Northenden Campus, M23 0DD.

Women - Wednesday 2 June from 10am - 12 noon at Nicholls Community Football Centre of Excellence, M12 6BA.

The men’s Basketball Academy trials are on Friday 4 June from 10am to 12 noon at Nicholls Sixth Form College Sports Hall, M12 6BA.

The men’s Cricket Academy trials are on Friday 4 June from 10am to 12 noon at Nicholls Community Football Centre of Excellence, M12 6BA.

And finally, the women’s Netball Academy are taking place on Friday 4 June from 1pm to 3pm at Nicholls Sixth Form College Sports Hall, M12 6BA.
