Chester FC???s appeal is successful

Fellow supporters-owned club Chester FC has won an appeal and will now start the season at step four of the National League System in the Northern Premier League Division One North.

The FA Leagues Committee originally decided to place the newly reformed club at step five, in North West Counties League Premier Division. However, an FA Appeal Board decided that The Blues should be permitted to play at step four.

The Appeal Board determined that the Leagues Committee misinterpreted or failed to comply with section 1(a) of the Regulations for the Establishment and Operation of the National League System which states: "To provide clubs with a level of competitive football appropriate to their playing ability, stadium/ground facilities, economic means and geographical location."??

FC United has been working with Supporters Direct to assist Chester supporters in establishing their new club after Chester City was officially dissolved in March 2010 after 125 years.
