Minithon Big Push

This year’s Minithon is just over a week away and we need a big push if we are to reach our target his year.

In the last two years the Minithon has raised over £20,000 for children charities and provided similar amount of vital income for our club. All the sponsorship monies raised are split between FC and this year’s chosen charity the Frost Foundation for local children and we need to raise sponsorship of £10,000 if we are to reach our targets for this year.

’The Minithon is a great way of getting out and getting some exercise and showing what the club is all about to a wider audience’, said FC General Manager Andy Walsh. ’Last year we had runners in locations from Bondi Beach to Boston as well fans of Italian club Torino who ran a parallel event in Turin. This year our friends from fellow fan-owned clubs Merthyr FC and AFC Wimbledon will be taking part and Wimbledon manager Terry Brown has pledged that they will have more runners and raise more money than FC and there is a real danger that he will be right if we don’t get our fingers out sharpish.’

’The Minithon plays a vital role in our club finances and it does not just rely on supporters dipping into their own pockets instead by asking family, friends and work colleagues to sponsor we can raise additional cash from outside our regular supporter base- registering is dead easy and a fundraising page can be easily set up using the www.justgiving.com website.

All we need is 200 participants raising just £50 each and we would reach our target:
