This Weeks News

Good day to you all.

Has it sunk in yet? Well has it? Here at FCUM Radio I’m not sure that it actually has. When we started our FA Cup Specials of FC Live this season, we took immense pride in the fact we were broadcasting FC victories rather than the up and down form of the club’s league campaign. In particular we took great fondness in bringing to you FC’s win against Barrow AFC to take us into the first round proper last month, that was an unbelievable afternoon in itself. But Friday was something else entirely.

FCUM Radio were there live from Spotland from 4pm, and we brought to you the whole evening as it unfolded. From the exciting events in the afternoon of the pitch covers coming off and the pitch lines being painted, to the noise and the unparalleled joy at 9.45pm. It was a real privilege to bring such an event to you, and my thanks to those who emailed, texted and listened in. Also our thanks to Rochdale who were unbelievable hosts and to the players, staff, supporters, Swampy, Brian, Marv and Cockers for creating such a unique programme for the station and the club.

But what is done is done, and with FC you just never know when the next momentous moment might occur, that’s the beauty of this great thing of ours innit. So just in case there is indeed “more???, FCUM Radio cannot and will not rest. This week we are back with all new shows from your favourite presenters and a new found spring in our step.

This is FCUM Radio, Radio for FC United of Manchester.
