Teeing Things Up Nicely...

This week’s News

Welcome to this week’s FCUM Radio update, and firstly a huge thank you for tuning in but more importantly for your pledges for last night’s Take-Us-Home-A-Thon in aid of the FC United Development Fund. A phenomenal £826 was pledged for just over 3 hours worth of music, a tremendous effort which proves once again what a beautiful club FC United of Manchester is. For more information on how to donate to the Development Fund, please visit http://www.fc-utd.co.uk/development-fund

On the pitch over the weekend, FC United moved themselves right into playoff contention with a battling 2-1 win over Stocksbridge Park Steels, this tees up a rather tense week to come here on FCUM Radio. So on Tuesday evening we’ll be live from Cheshire for FC’s trip down to Nantwich Town. And on Saturday we’ll be back to Le Stad De Gigg for the match with Mickleover, it’s awfully exciting.

And one more thing, in the month of February more people listened to FCUM Radio then in any month in its 5 year history, with over 900 people a week tuning in to listen to the matches, the music shows, the club shows and our community programming. This is an unbelievable number and on behalf of all the volunteers at the station, a big massive thank you to you all for tuning in, marvellous.

Highlights of this week include:

* FC LIVE! – Tune in on Tuesday at 7pm for FC United of Manchester’s crucial trip down to Nantwich.
* FC Live! – Tune in on Saturday at 2pm for full build up and commentary for FC United against Mickleover Sports.
* This Club Is My Club (Mon-Fri 12.30, 15.30, 21.00) holds all the news and interviews from the game against Stocksbridge, including interviews with Karl Marginson and Roy Soule.
* Join The FC Uth for an all new Children Of The Revolution, this week with guest Dom Walsh from the FC Uth (Sat 12pm, repeated Sun 10am)
* FC Soul Night on Thursday from 7pm, for a whole evening of Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Funk and Motown.
