FC United's Community work needs your help

Over the Easter holidays FC United’s community work will be running play schemes for 96 children across Manchester every day.

Obviously a lot of the activities we will be running with the children will be sport based.

However, we are also very pleased that Alice Eleanor, our regular textile workshop leader, will be working with us again leading the children in making all sorts of things out of recycled materials.

Alice spends a lot of time gathering material for children to use in her workshops but the sheer number of children she will be working with over Easter is presenting a challenge for her.

We are, therefore, asking FC United fans and members to help us gather materials for the kids. Have you got any of these?

- Cardboard Egg boxes
- Ring pull tin-cans (i.e. baked beans)
- Old Cotton T-shirts
- Old Shirts
- Buttons
- Old Cards (birthday & greetings cards)
- Paper with interesting patterns (Wrapping paper, inside of envelopes, magazine cuttings etc.)
- Old cushions/duvets anything with stuffing in.
- Old children’s games, jigsaws etc

If you have, can you can bring the material to the FC United match on 24th March at Gigg Lane or on 31st March at Stalybridge. Come to reception where Robin Pye and helpers will be on hand to take delivery of your stuff! Alternatively, you can bring the material into the FC United office at any time until the Easter holiday play schemes end on 13th April.
