Ashton and Worksop fundraising update

The half-time draw at the Doodson Cup game against Ashton was won by a supporter, who wishes to remain anonymous, with ticket number 2581. There were 340 tickets sold; the winner received £100, therefore the remaining £240 went into club funds and will help to offset the financial loss of putting on the game. The barrel collection totted up to £35, which will go into the Development Fund.

It was a totally different kettle of fish at the Worksop game last Saturday - 685 Pound for the Ground tickets were sold and the winning number was 1400, and claimed just after half time. It was regular supporter Adam’s 22nd birthday and he only bought a ticket at the last minute, so a rip snorting night out was on the cards for him and his girlfriend as they left the ground £200 the richer. The remaining £485 goes into the DF.

Once again the barrels were off to a stormer thanks to a donation of £200 from a previous PFTG winner and a £90 bag of change from one of our regular contributors. We counted up all the loose change which came to a very healthy £165, and that gave us a resplendent total of £455. This pushes us ever closer to the £50K mark since the start of the barrel collections. There was also 50 Euros, mostly in small coins, which will be exchanged for pounds in the New Year in addition to an interesting assortment of foreign coins for evaluation.

Many thanks to all who contributed and donated at both games. We are now only £595 short of bursting through the £50,000 total for the barrels and the Trafford game on New Year’s Day looks a likely date.

Please dont forget to return your Christmas Raffle trickets before or on 21 December. You can hand them in at the Fylde game or take them into the FC office if you are not at the Barwell game. Or, ring us on 07714 827019 to arrange handing them over.
