Youth United Day this Saturday

Youth United Day this SaturdayYouth United Day will be returning to Gigg Lane on Saturday 12th April 2014.

Buxton are our visitors that day and are bringing some of their youth groups along.

All under 18s will be admitted to the ground free of charge and we will be organising various match day activities as usual. These will include a music performance and workshop, drama, dance, banner and flag making workshops, climbing wall, badge making and face painting – but more on this in due course. Lots more activities are being added by the day!

We are interested in hearing from any supporters who are able to help with organising the event. In particular, if you know of a youth group that could be interested in attending Youth United Day, please get in touch. Maybe you just pass by a youth centre every day on the bus to work and often wonder if they would be interested in FC United and whether we could get them involved. Just send the contact details to youthunitedday@fc-utd.co.uk or vinnythompson@fc-utd.co.uk and we’ll do the rest. If you wish to speak to someone, as opposed to sending an email, please contact our office on 0161 273 8950 or Vinny Thompson on 07792 833 086 and we’ll try to answer your questions.

We had a large group from St. Andrews FC on Saturday who attended our game. They left buzzing about the club and the game. Whilst we can’t guarantee a 4-1 victory as on Saturday, I’m sure any young people, similar to those from St. Andrews, invited will leave buzzing for another visit either here or in our own home next season.

We could well be in the running for a play-off place when this match is played, Youth United Day is a key community event of our season and is our chance to show off this thing of ours to hundreds of young people from across Manchester. It’s your club; please help us make this day as great a success as previous years have been.

So, get the date in your diary and help us make the day a success by extending the invite to as many young people as possible.
