FC United win League's "Club of the Month" award

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League and its sponsors Bostik Ltd have chosen FC United of Manchester as winners of the Premier Division Club of the Month joint award for February/March.

An inscribed award certificate and a 4.5 litre bottle of Bell’s whisky will be made by a representative of Bostik Ltd and the league’s operations manager, Alan Allcock just before kick-off at our match against Grantham Town on Tuesday 1st April 2014.

Commenting on the award, FC United manager Karl Marginson said: "It’s always pleasing to receive awards and the "Club of the Month" award is recognition of all the hard work that goes on at FC from players, management and our medical and backroom staff.

"We are on a decent run of late and we are focused on continuing that good form into the next game and the game after that. It’s a cliche that we will take each game one at time, but that is very much how we are approaching the remaining seven games of the season."

United are currently top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League and on Saturday recorded our 11th win in a row when we defeated Matlock Town 2-1 at Gigg Lane. Manager Karl Marginson has described United’s remaining fixtures as ’cup finals’, the results of which will define FC’s season, as the club continues its bid for promotion to the Conference North.
