Friendlies - Daisy Hill, West Didsbury and Chorlton, Hyde FC

The last three friendlies are now finalised bringing our overall total to ten games. Details of the full programme, along with a message from the Manager, are in this story.

Daisy Hill - Thursday 17 July 2014
Another chance to play one of our opponents from the North West Counties days at their own ground. It’s been good to retain links with those teams where we started our journey and clubs like Daisy Hill have given us a lot of support over the years.

West Didsbury and Chorlton - Saturday 19 July 2014
As part of our plan to have more local games this year, we’ve agreed to revisit West Didsbury and Chorlton. Last season the development squad played there midweek, but this year we’ll be visiting Brookburn Road for a Saturday game.

Hyde FC - Tuesday 5 August 2014
As pre-season draws to a close, we’ve made plans for what will probably be a tough encounter with Conference North club, Hyde FC. Ewen Fields is often listed as one of FC United fans’ favourite grounds, so it will be great to go back there and remind ourselves what it’s like shortly before our own ground is finished.

Many fans will be aware that Hyde FC suffered an arson attack last month, so we’re pleased that our friendly can help them raise much needed funds.
