New FC United branch for young members set up

The club are pleased to announce that a new supporter’s branch has now been fully constituted. FC United of Manchester 1830 Supporters Branch, is a creation from the result of a young supporter’s survey, which was targeted at the young fans of the club in September.

The survey, which was completed by over 150 people, concluded that young members at the club were extremely interested in creating their own supporters branch, in order to help improve the number of the next generation of FC United fans, who in the future could help take the football club to new horizons.

The new branch has already been actively discussing what can be achieved once the club moves over to its new home at Broadhurst Park. One of the main focuses include engagement with students across Manchester’s three universities. The branch intends to create FC United Student Societies and advertise match days at next year’s student freshers’ events. The branch is also looking into different possibilities to fully utilise the function room at Broadhurst Park, with events such as branch socials and music gigs.

The next 1830 branch meeting will be on Tuesday 2 December, 7.00pm start at The Old Monkey Pub, Portland Street, Manchester M1 4GX. If you are a fan of the club aged between 18 and 30, male or female, you are warmly invited to come along.

The branch would like to thank board member Des Lynch, board candidate Andy Davies and general manager Andy Walsh for attending the last branch meeting.
