Skelmersdale admission arrangements

On Tuesday 14 April 2015, FC United will play Skelmersdale United. The match will be played at Skelmersdale’s ground, Stormy Corner, Selby Place, Statham Road, Skelmersdale WN8 8EF. Kick off 7.45pm.

Admission prices are:

Adults £9
Concessions £5
Children Under 16 £1

In an attempt to avoid the queues building, PLEASE TRY TO HAVE THE CORRECT CHANGE as it will help to get supporters into the ground far more quickly.

FC United have been asked to publicise the following:

As usual there will be NO segregation. The fans of both clubs have got on well in previous seasons, so there has been no need to segregate. However, with a large crowd expected, it is advisable that you get there as early as possible to avoid lengthy queues.

League and FA Rules do not permit standing on the grassed areas, despite the better views, so please help the Skelmersdale officials by staying on the permitted standing areas.

Parking

Parking is allowed on any of the roads that are around the ground but, it is suggested that if you get there early, try not to park on the main drag towards the ground. There are large lorries that use the road.

It is far safer going just a few hundred yards away.

You may also consider this for a quick get away after the game.

As you approach the Island (Neverstich Road), you turn right that leads you to the ground. Instead carry on up Neverstich Road for another 100yards and turn left onto Kiln Lane. There is parking along the road and should help in getting away. A further 400yds you will see the BUSY BEE pub. There is quite a fair sized car park there, walk back down the road and cross over directly in front of you, there is a footpath just behind the trees, turn left and follow the footpath, the first turning takes you to the ground,

Hope you don’t get lost.

The Alfie Lund fund (https://www.facebook.com/thealfielundfund) will be displaying a large collection of scarves and shirts before kick-off. Many will remember little Alfie and his dad Mark from when they visited one of our matches earlier in the season. Some FC United supporters have volunteered to help them to display the large amount of memorabilia that they have collected on their visits to football grounds. If there is anyone else who would like to offer their services then email Mark at his facebook page, above.
