Stourbridge match arrangements

On Tuesday 21 April, FC United will play Stourbridge FC.

The match will be played at Curzon Ashton’s home ground at Tameside Stadium, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, OL7 9HG, kick off 7.45pm.

We anticipate that there will be a very large crowd for this match, so please assist our volunteer turnstile operators by arriving early and entering the ground by the correct turnstile.

Should we win, there will be the trophy presentation after the match. Please keep off the pitch so that everybody will have a decent view of the presentation and the parade of the trophy afterwards. Out of respect for Curzon Ashton, who are likely to have a play-off match next week, please stay behind the barriers AT ALL TIMES to prevent damage to the pitch and sprinkler heads.

Five turnstiles will be open (unfortunately turnstile 4 is broken and cannot be mended before the end of the season).

Two turnstiles 1 & 2 near the statue will take cash:

Turnstile 1: Concessions £5, Juniors £2. Families that need to stay together can go through this turnstile.

Turnstile 2: Adults only £8

Turnstile 3 at the other end of the car park will take season ticket number 24 and complimentary tickets.

Turnstiles 7 and 8 at the far end of the ground past the Main Stand will take all categories.

Access for wheelchairs and pushchairs will be through the stewards’ gate to the left of the statue.

The early gate will be turnstile 2 and will open by 6.15pm. All categories accepted.

The late gate will be turnstile 2 and will stay open until at least 8.15pm. Full price entry will apply while the late gate is open. All categories accepted.

The upstairs bar, the supporters’ bar and the bar in the portable cabin will all be open. All car parks will be open and, as no parking charge will be made, supporters are asked to park at the ground until such time as the car parks are full. Supporters are asked to park considerately if they have to park elsewhere.

Toilets will be available in the clubhouse upstairs, and at both ends of the main seated stand. Spectators using the main terrace will probably find it quicker and more convenient to use the toilets at the far end of the seated area (by walking behind the goal at the far end of the ground).

Public Transport

The nearest tram stop is Ashton West, the last stop before Ashton-under-Lyne on the Eccles to Ashton line. Trams will run every 12 minutes throughout the evening. The stop is 6 or 7 minutes’ walk from the ground.

The nearest train stop is Ashton-under-Lyne, the first stop on the Manchester Victoria to Huddersfield line. It is about a mile from the ground.
