Happy birthday football - Sheffield FC is 158 years old on Saturday

Sheffield FC, the world’s first football club, is 158 years old tomorrow. Since 2012, on 24 October they have celebrated their birthday as "Happy Birthday Football" and clubs all over the world have shared greetings via the #happybirthdayfootball hashtag on twitter and elsewhere online.

FC United is delighted to add its best wishes to Sheffield FC, who we played in a pre-season friendly in July this year, and wish them all the best for their special day, their game against Rugby Town on Saturday and for the future.
