Liquid Refreshment at Northwich

For those who like a beer before/after the game here is a quick guide to what is available near/on route to the venue of our next two away games Victoria Stadium, Northwich. (Note there are no drinking facilities at the Victoria Stadium)

Ground Location is not actually in Northwich Town Centre but Wincham Industrial Estate

By Train or Car

Witton Albion Social Club have kindly agreed to open their doors and Welcome FC United Fans for both games. The club is situated at Witton Albion’s Ground which is a 200 yard walk to the Victoria Stadium turnstiles. There is a 200 capacity in the Club and the beer is reasonably priced. There are also car parking facilities available at £1 per vehicle.

The Black Greyhound (Corner of Hall Lane and Church Street) is walking distance to the ground and has a Curry house attached! The Beer is only OK and on my visit the restaurant seems to take priority.

The Slow and Easy is on the Junction where if arriving by car you turn right for Wincham Ind Est - A big pub, with a good range of beers and Lagers.

By Train

The Lion and Railway (Opposite the station) Down to earth locals pub with great bitter, on route to the ground you then come to;

The Millhouse (Main Roundabout on way to ground from Town Centre) - Family pub with a big bar area with a ball pit style kids play area attached

The Salt Barge (Ollerenshawe Lane) - small pub but quality beer about 15 minutes walk away from the ground.
