Sunshine after the rain

With little or no further rain predicted today and tomorrow the FA Vase fixture against Quorn FC is almost certain to go ahead.

FC United General Manager Andy Walsh paid tribute to the hard work of Bury’s ground staff:

’Bury played last Tuesday night and with the amount of rain that has fallen many fans have understandably been concerned that our game could be threatened with postponement. We are grateful to groundsman Michael Curtis and his staff who have been working on the pitch all week to ensure that the match against Quorn can go ahead as planned.’

Late turnstiles will remain open at Gigg Lane until 15:45 to allow entry of any late arrivals to arguably the biggest game in the club’s short history.
