FC Winterthur Match Arrangements

FC Winterthur Match ArrangementsOn Friday 13th July, FC United welcome FC Winterthur to Broadhurst Park in the long awaited return pre season friendly kick off 8.00 pm. Having played twice against them in Switzerland, we can at long last reciprocate their wonderful hospitality.

Pre season has so far gone very well for the club with wins chalked up against Irlam FC, SV Austria Salzburg and Shelley CFC with 10 goals scored. However, this will be the sternest task yet for Tommy Greaves’ new look squad, as our two previous matches against FC Winterthur have ended in defeat.

The magnitude of the task facing FC this Friday is highlighted in the fact that our visitors beat West Ham United in Switzerland last weekend! This match will be a truer reflection of where this new squad are at with the season proper just 3 weeks away.

All supporters can gain admission upon cash payment at the turnstiles.

£12 Adults,
£7 Concessions
£3 u/18s.

Turnstiles will open at 6.30pm

BEER FESTIVAL

This match is the first of a double header this coming weekend, (the women’s team play on Sunday) that will revolve around our second annual FC United Beer Festival.

Entrance to the Beer Festival is included in the match admission price.

We’ve teamed up with some superb local breweries including: Higsons, Morley Brewery, Ossett Brewery, Rat Brewery, Cross Bay Brewery, Bootleg Brewery, Brewhouse and of course our own Joseph Holt.

The festival commences at 1.00 pm on Friday, and admission is by payment of the match admission price at the main reception office window up to 5.00 pm and thereafter until turnstiles open from the match day reception desk in the main entrance.

MATCH PROGRAMME

The Match programme is priced at £1.50 and is available to buy from sellers outside and inside the ground.

RESERVED SEATING IN THE MAIN STAND

Supporters will be able to reserve seats in one block of the Main Stand on a first come first served basis, by calling the FC United office on Thursday 12th July on 0161 769 2005. A maximum of 4 seats can be reserved per person. Those who have reserved seating need to collect a voucher from the FC United office accessible through the main reception on the day of the match. These vouchers will only be available until the kick off time of the match.

BARS AND FOOD

There will be three bars at Broadhurst Park for this match.

The club has been granted a licence to serve alcohol throughout the match and fans will now be allowed to drink alcohol on the terraces from plastic glasses. As a result all drinks will now be served in plastic glasses.

The Main Stand Function Room Bar will serve hot food together with a selection of the Beer Festival guest beers and non-alcoholic drinks before, during and after the match. We ask that fans purchasing alcohol in the Main Stand Bar during the game do not congregate at the back of the Main Stand, but instead find a position in the seats or terraces.

Entry to the function room will be via the turnstiles and then through the seated area of the Main Stand.

The SMRE Bar situated under the large St. Mary’s Road End terrace is closed for refurbishment.

Our Cask Ale Bar situated under the Main Stand, behind the Paddock, will sell a selection of the Beer Festival guest ales.

Opposite the Cask Ale Bar the Kazbar will serve hot food prepared by our chef, pies and non-alcoholic drinks.

In view of the pitch we have a Bar between the Main Stand and SMRE which will also be serving draught bitter and lager

We also have a Bar situated in the North Stand between the North Stand and the SMRE

Please note the Main Stand Bar is a No Smoking Area. Supporters wishing to smoke at half-time can do so in the designated areas in the corners of the ground.

POUND FOR THE GROUND TICKETS

We are still raising money for the club’s Development Fund as there are parts of the ground we need to complete. The quickest and easiest way is to buy a Pound for the Ground ticket at £1 each at the match with cash prize of £250 on offer.

CLUB SHOP

The Club Shop is accessible at the front of the ground to the right of the Main Entrance. Some new items are always being added to the merchandise range so why not pop in and see what is in stock.

The shop will be open before the game and for 15 minutes after the final whistle.

Alternatively you can order merchandise from the FC United Online shop click here
