PLAYER NEWS: Mike Donohue signs for FC United

We are delighted to announce that Mike Donohue (21) has signed for FC United having been released by Fleetwood Town last week -Donohue joined the FC United on loan from Fleetwood in September and has made 22 appearances for the Reds this season.



Donohue began his career with Everton, moving on loan to Barrow in February 2016. He signed for Fleetwood Town in July 2017, making his senior debut for the club on 8 November 2017 in an EFL Trophy match against Carlisle United. In March 2018 he signed on loan for National League North side Tamworth. He made his first team debut for FC United at home against Bradford (PA) in David Chadwick’s first game in charge as caretaker manager.

As he was released from Fleetwood late last week and wasn’t officially signed to FC United until this week, he technically didn’t have a club. Therefore his one match suspension, following his sending off at Chorley, doesn’t begin until this weekend, so he will unfortunately miss our match at Ashton United on Saturday
